3 3/8 yds. 7/8" wide double-face satin ribbon in ivory
10 3/4 yds. 5/8" wide double-face satin ribbon in ivory
21 yds. 3/8" wide double-face satin ribbon in ivory
10 large premade silk flowers
8 small premade buds
18 premade lilies-of-the-valley
Fine craft wire
18 gauge floral wire
Green floral tape
Directions:
- Make a ten-loop bow from the 1 1/2" wide ribbon. Make a
twelve-loop bow from an 8 foot length of the 7/8" wide
ivory ribbon. Set bows aside.
- Cut six 8" lengths from the 5/8" wide ivory ribbon.
Fold each length in half to form a loop. With fine wire, wire
two loops together to an 8" length of 18 gauge floral wire.
Cover with floral tape. Repeat with remaining ribbon lengths to
create three sets of double loops.
- Cut four 7 foot lengths from the remaining 5/8" wide ivory
ribbon. Cut nine 7 foot lengths from the 3/8" wide ivory
ribbon. Working with all ribbon lengths combined, fold ribbon in
half and wire in center with an 8" length of floral wire.
Make random knots in all ribbon lengths alternating spacing. Set
aside.
- Wire the silk flowers and the buds to 8" lengths of 18 gauge
floral wire. Cover any raw edges with floral tape.
- Gather and wire all flowers and buds together. Insert
lilies-of-the-valley where needed. Insert the loop wires from
step 2 in the center of the bouquet. Add the knotted ribbons
from step 3 to lower part of bouquet. Wire together, forming a
handle.
- Wire the two bows from step 1 to the bouquet handle. Cover all
wires on the handle by wrapping with the remaining 7/8"wide ivory
ribbon.
