Offray's "That's A Wrap!"
Wrap a gift using Offray Ribbons and create a sensation! These bow
making techniques are easy to follow and add bow-brilliance to wrapped packages,
gift baskets, floral arrangements and more.
Florist Bow
Materials:
Directions:
- 8" from one end of ribbon, pinch firmly between thumb and index
finger.
- Make a 5" loop (half the size of finished bow) pinch tightly.
If ribbon is one-sided, twist length to right side. Make a second loop
and pinch over first two pinches.
- Repeat this process forming 4 loops on each side.
- Make a center knot by forming a small loop over your thumb, pinch and wire
all loops together, trim excess. Wire 14" length to back for
tails.

Pompom Bow
Materials:
- 5 yds. craft type ribbon, small piece of wire
Directions:
- With ribbon, form a 9" loop equal in size to the diameter of the
finished bow.
- Wrap remaining ribbon around loop as many times as is desired for bow.
- Flatten loops and cut off triangles at end, being careful not to cut too
close to the center.
- Bring ends together to meet in center, overlapping triangles.
- Secure ribbon at center over notches with wire. Pull out loops,
twist towards center, alternating sides to form pompom.

Starburst Bow
Materials:
- 2 yds of ribbon of your choice
Directions:

|
- Beginning at one end of 1 yard of ribbon, form a 4" loop and pinch
together between thumb and index finger. Bring ribbon down and under
to form a 4" loop at bottom and pinch together to secure. Repeat
this process forming a 4 loop bow. Wire tightly.
- Using 2-16" lengths of ribbon, pinch each at center and secure with
wire to either side of 4 loop bow forming tails.
- To complete the bow, fold a 4" length of ribbon in half and wrap
around center of 4 loop bow and tails. Glue at back to secure.
Single Ribbon Loop Bow
Materials:
- 12" of ribbon of your choice.
Directions:
- Using a 12" length of ribbon, form a 4" loop at one end and
pinch together.
- Bring remaining ribbon up to extend beyond loop forming a tail.
Pinch together at base with floral pick and wire to secure.
Variation:
Using a longer length of ribbon, double or triple the number of loops for a
fuller look.

Wrapping the Package
Materials:
First, to determine the length of ribbon needed, use this formula: multiply
the length of the box x 2, multiply the width of the box x 2, multiply the depth
x 4, and add these numbers together. Then add about 3/4 yd. to 1 yd. extra
to make a bow.
Directions:
- Wrap ribbon around box, allowing for extra ribbon to tie bow. To do
this, one end of the ribbon needs to be twice as long as the other end.
(Fig.1)
- Twist ribbon around each other, bringing longer length of ribbon around
box, under bottom and back to top. (Fig. 2)
- Bring longer length over the twist, and slip it under, coming around and
out in the opposite corner. (Fig. 3&4)
- Pull both ends taut. Tie shoelace bow. (Fig. 5)
