1. Cut 3" length of 1 1/2" wide wire edge ribbon. |

Ribbon "Yo-Yo" (for one Bachelor Button & center of sunflower) 1. Cut 9" length of 7/8" wide blue wire edge ribbon.
2. Remove wire from one side of ribbon (this will be center of "Yo-Yo"). With a threaded needle gather ribbon tightly along edge without wire. Join into a circle. Tack to hold. Fold a small seam allowance along raw edges. Glue together to finish.
Sunflower (for one) 1. Make 8 folded leaf petals from yellow wire edge Ombre ribbon.
2. Make 3 folded leaves from green ribbon.
3. Make 1 (one) ribbon "Yo-Yo" for center from 7.8" brown ribbon.
4. To assemble; cut a 1 1/2" wide diameter circle of green felt. Glue yellow petals around outer edge. Space evenly. Thread stem wire through felt to hold. Pinch wire to secure. Glue brown ribbon "Yo-Yo" over center of felt covering all raw edges of yellow petals. Cut a 5" piece of floral stem wire. Using green floral tape attach one leaf to top of wire, add remaining leaves on either side of short stem. Cover all wire with floral tape. Using floral tape cover stem of flower completely. Add leaf stem to side as desired. Repeat for desired number of flowers.
POPPY (for one) 1. Make flower as directed in gathered flower instructions using red 1 1/2" wire edge ribbon.
2. Thread stem through flower from the back. Bend top of stem over and thread back through (as for sunflower). Pinch loop to hold. Glue black pom-pom in center. Cover stem with green floral tape.
3. Make (3) folded leaves from 1 1/2" wide green wire edge ribbon. Assemble as for sunflower and attach to poppy stem. Repeat as needed.
BACHELOR BUTTON (for one) 1. Make 1 (one) ribbon "Yo-Yo" from 7/8" wide blue wire edge Ombre. Make 3 folded leaf leaves from 1 1/2" green wire Ombre.
2. To assemble gather stamens into a cluster. Wrap with a small amount of fine floral wire. With pliers, make a loop at one end of stem wire. Attach stamens to stem below to hold. Thread stem wire through center of ribbon "Yo-Yo". Pull stamens through center. Take finger and spread stamens and wire on under side with green floral tape. Cover stem as well. Finish leaves as for sunflower. Add leaf stem to Bachelor Button stem. Repeat as needed. Vary the color of the flowers by using light sides and dark side of ribbon.
